How to Measure for Post Pad Wraps
If the existing foam on your post pads is in good condition, but the vinyl cover could use some sprucing up, post pad wraps are an easy, cost-effective solution to your problem. Post pad wraps are vinyl sleeves that cover existing padding. Sure-Fit Velcro closures allow for a snug fit, so wraps can be easily removed, rolled up, and stored to combat wear, tear, and exposure to extreme weather conditions. Sports Venue Padding manufactures a variety of sizes with or without cut-outs and can print team mascots or sponsorship graphics on almost any color of vinyl.
Measuring for vinyl wraps is a little different than measuring for post padding because the vinyl wraps around the existing padding.
1. Measure the circumference around the post pad, NOT the post. Using a piece of string, wrap it tautly around the existing post pad, mark the string, and then simply measure the string. This will give you the circumference, which is all that is required for manufacturing. For square post pads, wrap the string around all four sides. The reason for the string is that hard plastic tape measures are inflexible, often resulting in an inaccurate reading.
__________ Circumference (Distance around the post)
2. Measure the height of the post pad. The standard height of a post pad is 6-feet, but Sports Venue Padding makes pads at any height, width, or in any shape to accommodate the post's construction.
__________ Height of post pad
In every case, it is prudent to submit an accompanying photo with the measurements. That way, Sports Venue Padding engineers can visually review the project and be alerted to any concerns in advance.
